adjusting plot settings automagically

archive
archive over 17 years ago

Greetings all,

Has anyone ever had any success with adjusting the settings under Plot Setup using a method other than a replay-script? Directly with SKILL, or maybe writing out a control file then triggering a reading of that file?

TIA,

Followup - the documetation states the plot-setup values are saved in the allegro.ini file upon exiting a session and read in from same file at beginning of a session. It goes on to state that there are environment variables that can be set programmatically and that the trick is to
    1) open session
    2) delete allegro.ini
    3) modify environment variables as desired
    4) invoke plot

BUT the documentation doesn't state the names of the environment variables that correspond with what's in allegro.ini

    TIA,

    Hi Chris,

I don't think that method works unless you re-open the session after modifying the lines in the allegro.ini file itself.
It would be great if we could have access to these as normal environment variables. It drives me crazy having to run scripts to do this type of task. I suggest you raise an enhancement request to have these included as standard environment variables.

    Cheers, Dave
