What is check-in and check-out exactly in OrCAD EDM

Hai, Community,

I am using the EDM recently, i have a confusion between the check-in and check-out, what exactly is check-in and check-out in OrCAD EDM.

As per my knowledge, check-out is when i checked-out the design which i want to edit and checked-in is when i completed the editing of the design before releasing the design i have to check-in.

Correct me if i am wrong.
