axlShell does not work

Hi guys,

i and trying to add variable in axlshell() but it does not work.

anyone can help?

This is my code

layer = "DRILL"
sprintf(s "FORM vf_vis colorview_list Film:%s" layer)
axlShell(s)

Error msg: E- Value for field is not legal

=(

    I have no idea what you are trying to do here but, generally, using axlShell is a difficult way of achieving anything if there's a Skill option.

    I try to use script to turn on the artwork layer, for example fab drawing layer, so that i can plot it later.

     axlGetParam("artwork:DRILL") ->groupMembers will give you the layers that make up the artwork layers for the film named "DRILL"

    axlVisibleLayer(layer, t) makes the layer visible

    axlVisibleUpdate(t) refreshes the display
