HJerry

Hi All,

I am using axlRunBatchDBProgram to open wordpad. I want to pause the skill program until the user exit wordpad. Is there away to do this in skill?

Thanks,

Jerry

You can use shell("notepad.exe") to start a program (from windows command prompt) which blocks the Allegro GUI until the external program closes.

"wordpad.exe" does not start since the windows PATH settings does not include the path to wordpad.exe .

wordpad's executable is "write.exe". So, shell("write.exe") will open wordpad.(Kudos go to Dave Elder, he made me aware of this years ago.)

I think I am going to try axlUIEditFile(). It currently opens in wordpad and blocks the Allegro GUI.
