Compare Keepout Shapes

Hi experts,

Is there a way to compare the KEEPOUT Shapes (KOS) between designs? For example, I have an ECO board that I would like to know what/which KOS changed? Is there a way to compare the eco with the original board? If so, how do I go about it? Also, is there a Skill code available to do this check?

Thanks,

Edwin B

An easy way to do this would be to generate an artwork film for your original board keepout layer and import it into the new board on a documentation layer to do the comparison.

Thank you for your reply. I'll do as you've suggested. Hopefully, this will resolve my issue.

    Hi Dave,

How do you create a 'documentation layer' when the available Class is limited to Etch, Board Geometry, Drawing Format, and Manufacturing? I tried creating a KOZ layer as a subclass on each of the available Class definitions but somehow the artwork won't show. Might be something wrong with how I made the layer. How do you go about it?

    Thanks,

    Ed

I would just create a temporary layer in any non-etch class. Say MANUFACTURING/COMPARE
