using skill++ with forms. Need to understand variable/function scopes with forms.

I am trying to use the below skill++ code to create a form in Allegro, but I get errors because the following items are hidden in the scope of the showForm function:

  • initializeRows function
  • formCallback function
  • entries variable

I would prefer not to use global functions or variable for these. Is there a way to maintain the encapsulation of these items while getting it to work? The code is below:

procedure( showForm(entries)
  procedure( initializeColumns() ... )
  procedure( initializeRows(entries) ... )
  procedure( formCallback(param) ... )

  formStructure = getFormStructure()
  form = axlFormCreate( gensym(), list("Entry Form" formStructure), nil, 'formCallback, nil )

  axlFormDisplay( form )
