detecting Allegro theme from Skill?

With our ongoing transition from Allegro, 17.2 to 17.4, which goes hand in hand with the default theme changing to dark and some 17.4 users sticking with default/dark and some switching back to light, we run into visibility problems with some of our custom Skill UIs. How can I detect the current Allegro theme from Skill in order to be able to adjust our custom UIs accordingly?

Have you tried reading the env file and looking for the allegro_theme variable?
