DE_changeViaNet_public Skill not working in 17.4 S029

Hi eDave,

The Change via net is not loading in the Allegro 17.4 S029.

I get the below error message while loading.

SYNTAX ERROR found at line 1 column 5 of file C:/Skill/DE_changeViaNet_public.cxt

*Error* lineread/read: syntax error encountered in input

*Error* load: error while loading file - "C:/Skill/DE_changeViaNet_public.cxt" at line 0

Kindly help to make it work.

Not sure why the skill isn't working but this command is in the tools by default now so you may not need the skill anymore. You can hover over any via (General or Etch edit mode) and right click - Assign net to via then choose the net from the Options pane.

To change the NetName on the Via,
SKILL API is axlChangeNet(<via id>, <new name>)
Changes the net an object is currently on. Restricted to shapes, filled rectangles (frectangles), pins and vias.
Returns t when successful. Will not rip up clines or vias.

I get the below error message. I have placed the file in the location mentioned below.

loadContext: could not open file - "C:/LALITH/Tools/DONOTDELETE/Skill/64bit/DE_changeViaNet_public.cxt"

Kindly let me know your ideas to make it work.
