offsetting a CLINE using SKILL

Hi everyone,

I’m currently trying to write a SKILL to offset a centerline (CLINE), but I’m running into some difficulties.
Has anyone here worked on something similar before?

I’ve already spent quite a lot of time experimenting with different approaches, but so far the results are still not what I expected. I would really appreciate any suggestions, experience, or guidance from you.

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

Best Regards,

HoangKhoi.

    perhaps a way:
    - determine cline width
    - get shape of cline
    - expand shape with required cline2cline center distance, minus the 1/2 of cline width (so shape edge is new cline center)
    - determine rpath of the expanded shape outline
    - create new clines of rpath

can also do this on clineseg level so you can have multiple segment widths.

    Hello Bruekers
First of all, I would like to thank you. The image above shows the result generated by my program.
The issue I'm facing is that the angled lines are sometimes off by about 0.01 µm. For example, when I enter an offset value of 200.0 µm, the program generates 199.99888 µm.
I've spent a lot of time trying to improve it but still haven't found a solution.

Regarding your suggestion, I have actually tried it before, but the same error still occurs.

Thank you, and I hope to receive further guidance.
