SysCap - Tip of the week: Exporting notes from a design to a spreadsheet

In System Capture, you can find all notes in the design and export them to a csv file using Tcl commands.

Use the following command to find notes in the design:

find -scope "Entire Design" -types "note" {}

Export results to a csv file using the following command:

cps::dumpSearchResults <path to folder> <string suffix>

For example,

cps::dumpSearchResults ../search_data "design_notes"

Ensure that the specified folder exists.

This will export design notes to a file named ‘search_result_Notes_Design_Notes.csv’ in the ‘search_data’ folder.
