SysCap – Tip of the Week: Creating Hierarchical Split Symbol

It is not always possible to fit in a large pin count hierarchical block on a single schematic sheet. In such a scenario, you can split the hierarchical block into multiple symbols.

Open the block symbol from the Project Explorer.

Click on the Toggle Symbol Pin Table Visibility to open the pin table and block symbol side by side.

Pin Table Visibility

Select the required pins in the in table, and right-click and select Move To > New Symbol.
