SysCap – Tip of the Week: Identifying DNI components

At times, you use certain components in the design, which you do not want to place in the PCB and in the Bill of Materials. These are like Do Not Install (DNI) components in the variant schematic.

The DNI cross can now be displayed for unused components in the base design too.

Enable the Show Cross on Pack Ignore setting from Edit > Preferences > General.

Add the PACK_IGNORE=TRUE property on components that you want to ignore from the netlist. The DNI cross will appear on PACK_IGNORE components.
