SysCap – Tip of the Week: How to save table of contents (TOC) in schematic design automatically

System Capture lets you save TOC automatically when saving a System Capture design. You can do this by adding a directive in the .cpm file.

This will avoid using the Re-Evaluate TOC option to update TOC when adding pages or blocks to an existing design.

  1. Close System Capture.
  2. Open the <project>.cpm file in Notepad.
  3. Add the TOC_AUTO_SAVE cpm directive with the TRUE value to the START_CANVAS section. You can also update this directive to the site.cpm file. This will apply the setting to all users pointing to this site:
  4. Save and close the file
  5. Launch System Capture and open the design.

Now, when you add pages or blocks and save the design, you can see that TOC is updated automatically.
