SysCap – Tip of the Week: Ways to export local design in System Capture

Many a time, while exporting the design to the board, you might want to control the transfer of user-defined properties, ignore fixed property, overwrite current constraints, and so on.

System Capture supports multiple such options.

Option 1

Using File > Export to Layout, you can export the schematic to generate or update a board file. Also, you can choose the required output file based on the desired flow like PCB Editor, PCB SI, and Package Designer.

Option 2

There is a way to generate only the physical netlist of the design.

You can use File > Export Netlist to create the netlist in the packaged folder of the project directory.
