CadencePCBViewers.exe: Installer changed $HOME so "git" does not work. How to repair?

Hello,

I installed "CadencePCBViewers.exe" on my Windows 10 PC.

On this PC, I'm also using Git for Windows.

However, CadencePCBViewers installer broke my Git installation.

Obviously, CadencePCBViewers installer changed my $HOME variable to point to "HOME=C:\SPB_Data".

I don't know why Cadence installer does that and I also think it's "rude behaviour" from an installer to even touch my $HOME variable.

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

Daniel

Solution: Edit environment variables of your user profile:

Removed this entry and voilà, git started working again. I can commit again HandshakeGrin

Hope this will help others that observe the same issue after installing cadence software.

    Best regards,
    Daniel
