DEHDL Global Update of changed PTF key properties

The reply below was taken from a thread from 2007 but it is exactly what i want to do.

"No this doesn’t solve my problem I have data that is in the key properties changed in the PTF since the parts were instantiated I need a one button push to get the properties to update to match the property data in the PTF just so it can package! Orcad which I was told is the lower end tool had this functionality and it would package even if it didn’t match the database it was the users option."

I didn't find an answer that satisfies my needs. I'd like to update all the instances in my schematic with the current valies in the PTF. I see i can do that with the Part Manager but it is one part number at a time. I'm not having too much luck either with Tools/Global Update. Is there a "one-button" solution to this? Thanks for any help. Steve

    H Steve.
There is no current method to accomplish what you need to do using Part Manager. You're correct in that it will be one part type at a time. However, I did file an enhancement CCR on behalf of a customer and would be happy to add your/your company name to that CCR in order to increase the awareness of this request to our R&D and Marketing teams.      Well, it sounds like ptf have been modified and old parts can not be found?

If so, you have to give to Concept an entry usable: create new entries in ptf similar of old entries (copy your pft file before!), so concept can find it and the packager can work.

When it is done, you can use global modifie in concept.

Then you can remove old entries... (or urese the copy of your ptf file).

    Works great.
