Align Components

Hello,

Can someone tell me how to align components in Orcad 16.0.

    The "align_sym" routine mentioned is in the SKILL library on SourceLink, your Channel Partner should be able to provide credentials to configure an access account for in maintenance customers. OrCAD PCB Editor can run SKILL rroutines but there is no means to effectively debug them.

    Otherwise you can use the "place_txt.txt" file method. Place one of the components to be aligned, if the components are not already placed. Then File>Export>Placement, will create a "place_txt.txt" file. Attack this with a text editor, set the required X and Y locations in the file, if any of the parts are not yet placed, add their references, symbols and required locations, as for the other records. Save the "place_txt.txt" file. Go back to the PCB Editor session, use File>Import>Placement, point to the "place_txt.txt" file and the components will be placed (Note: you may need to unplace the components for the placement to take effect, I cannot recall this detail!)
