SpecctraQuest Hspice DML

I have been trying to confirm if you need to have hspice license to run an encrypted DML wrapped hspice model.

Attempts have yielded the following error:

The language of the subckt for the macro model BQ0267CS_7LM does not match the language of the targeted simulator.

I would have expected a license error.

Thanks

Yes, I do believe that HSpice license is required if the model is in encrypted HSpice format.

Ok, I thought maybe it being DML could allow it to be simulated under different license and not specifically require hspice license.

Can simulation be mixed mode?  Can one model be DML hspice, and another be IBIS?

For IBIS you will need to convert to .dml format then I think you can have mixed mode i.e. one DML HSpice and other .dml.
