Automating Artwork Film Record and Title Block Generation

As I promised, here is a presentation that I gave at ICU 2003 which describes the process of updating / adding Artwork Film Records and Custom Title Blocks to an Allegro design.  I am sure folks have different ideas/ways on accomplishing this but I figured I would get the ball rolling.  There is a lot of good SKILL based scripts and explanation on how I completed the task.

This presentation explains how to use SKILL function axlfCreate to add film records to the design which is similar to saving your existing film records to the text file (FILM_SETUP.txt). The only thing that has been updated in the script since the presentation is the section related to NCDrill Subclasses used by the NCDrill charts which changed in Allegro 15.2.  I still use it today for all my designs and it works well.

Hope this helps,
