[help] about net_name_length Algorithm in Concept SCALD and ConceptHDL

 dear all,

we want to know that about net_name_length algorithm,Concept SCALD and ConceptHDL is different or not ?

if yes, how we do to get the same net name in concept SCALD and conceptHDL?

    1.we think that the method is undoubtedly painful.

    2. we care the net name length,because we use Mentor Boardstation EN to do PCB and use some tools to generate some files for SMD and repairing lines. Our tools limites the net name length.

    we think that for the unnamed nets, the algorithm should be the same and single in your each version software.

    we think that Concept SCALD's algorithm is best than conceptHDL(Solaris OS and Windows OS).

    because the SCALD extracts 5 fields seperated by the $ or _ character,but the conceptHDL(Solaris OS) does not strictly follow this rule.

    it is very too worst thing that the conceptHDL(windows OS) extracts  the net name,which is followed the net name length request, from the beginning of the unnamed net. we think that this is reason why you set the default value:net_name_length=31.

    we hope cadence can help us.
