Shape not being "trimmed" by route or package keepin

I have created shapes on a plane layer (for split planes).  I did it by:

"Add >  Retangle" and then selected the net they are to be on.  I then did:

"Shape > Merge Shapes"  to create single shape and then did:

"Shape > Change Shape Type" to make it conform to the via's and through hole pins.

All these work except for the shape is not being trimmed by my route keepin at the edge of the board.  What am I missing?

Setup - user preferences - z_ealry_adopter, set shape_rki_autoclip to checked. You normally only have to do this on designs that use static shapes. On the addition of new dynamic shapes, this will work without the setting.

That did not change the shapes.

When I do "show element"  this is what comes back:

     LISTING: 1 element(s)

         < SHAPE(auto-generated) >

           class         ETCH
           subclass      PLANE9

      part of net name:  P3V3
      Connected lines:     4
      Area:  6.577  (sq in)

      Shape is solid filled

There is also a lot of info about the boundaries and the voids specific to the shape.  I had hoped this method would work for creating split planes, but there appears to be an issue.

I found the issue.  I had added the keepout after the shape.  I had to change it to a different layer and then move it back to get it to conform to the keepin.

You might need to refresh the shape. Select the shape and then defer the shape fill (in the options tab).

Not sure what Allegro version you are running but in Allegro 16.01 the only time the dynamica shapes automatically trim to the route keepin is when they are initially added to the design.  If you have shapes that are inside the route keepin and they are modified so they extend outside of the route keepin they will not automatically trim to the keepin.

Dynamic shapes will react differently to route keepouts; any dynamic shapes that are modified to cross the boundary of a route keepout the copper shape will automatically be trimmed backed to meet the clearance where as route keepins do not. Depending on the status of the shape and your setting Dynamic Fill Settings it may not automatically update but most of the time you can simple move the shape and place it down at the same location for it to update to the route keepout.

    Hope this helps,
