PADS 2007 footprints to translate in Orcad Layout 15.7 footprint

Hi,

I try to import in Orcad an ASCII file (containing only Pads footprints) generated by PADS 2007 (ASCII file saved as PADS Version 3 or 4 or 5).

No translation is done in Orcad. I get a message like "The translator supports ASCII files up to Version 2.1".

Guys, do you have any suggestion how this problem can be solved?

 Thanks, Christian

There is not much you can do unless you can get the PADS data as version 2.1, or earlier. Taking the option for "Basic Units", if available, may be the trick to getting later version formats read in.
