NC Drill in Allegro 16.2 Windows

Has anyone run across this in 16.2 while running NC drill, it post the following ?

Check the bottom line.

WARNING: Design precision is the same as that of the drill output file data.
Data rounding errors may still be possible.
WARNING: This design contains 169 slot holes that can NOT be drilled.
They can be processed by NC routing instead.

WARNING: Can't find tool file (nc_tools.txt)
          ... will auto-generate tool file (nc_tools_auto.txt)

     Auto-generating tool file nc_tools_auto.txt
     -------------------------------------------

Size  Plating  Tool        + Tolerance  - Tolerance

Drill files being output to directory 'C:/JIM-work/pcb-test' ...
No holes in this drawing. Nctape aborted .

I've seen this in 16.01.  It looks like all your padstacks are built as Oval Slots instead of Circle Drills.  I get the same message if I have no Circle Drill padstacks.  If you go Tools->Padstack->Modify Design Padstack, click on the padstack, and look at the "Hole type", it's going to be something other than "Circle Drill".  Only Circle Drills are put in the ncdrill file so if you don't have any, it just gives you the message instead of generating an empty file.  Like it says in the message, you can process these ovals through the ncroute file (or even putting them on the fab dwg and dimensioning/detailing them).

    G'Day

Thanks for the reply, although My Padstachs are reading Circle Drill.

And I just found out that my partner is able to run the NCdrill on the same board without any problems. It mybe an installation problem.???

Sorry, I can't think of a reason why they would be able to run it and you can't.

FYI; although they may only be a portion of the padstacks in your design, it looks like you have 169 slot padstacks based on the text you posted; "WARNING: This design contains 169 slot holes that can NOT be drilled.  They can be processed by NC routing instead."

    To All,

As it turns out the problem was in my env file, I had some old paths set to 15.2

and as I corrected them to 16.2 all went well.

    Have a Merry, Jim
