Attributes changes for selected components in HDL

Hi,

How to edit or change the attributes of the components selected in the Design Entry HDL say U1, U2, R1, R2 all @ once.

    If your attributes are user defined (not through the library) then you can use tools - global update - global property change. If not then you will need to edit the library parts.

    Based on what I know, this is an area that needs improvement in ADE HDL.  The recently added property window (or attribute window) works on one object (component) at a time i.e. will let you modify the property(s) for one selected component instead of multiple components.  Cadence said that they will enhance the property window to work on multiple objects but it's not there yet today.  I haven't tried global update.

    Hi,

    Steve: The Global change/Delete makes the changes for all the components @ once.

    I need the properties to be changes only for selected components.

    Thnx. khurana for th reply i believe their shld be @ any workaround with Cadence. Let me chk.

    Also while working with DE HDL the machine gets hanged up at some point though i have a 1.5 GB of RAM. Does anybody has got some methods to overcome the same.....
