Allegro Free Physical Viewer 16.0 - OpenGL

Has anyone had any luck getting the OpenGL rendering working in the free physical viewer 16.0 (16.0 s010 (v16-0-87V) [8/14/2007] i86) on windows XP?

I have tried setting the required environment variable (viewer_opengl) in various ways, but without success.

    The variable is called viewer_useoglgraphic.

Add it to your local env file - <HOME>/pcbenv/env  (e.g.add a line: set viewer_useoglgraphic )

or use the enved (environment editor) where it is located under the Opengl catagory.

This program is located in offical Cadence hierarchy or can be accessed any allegro via the menu Setup->User Perferences

You need to restrart the viewer for the variable to take effect.

Thanks for that - it got me nearly all the way there.

On a machine with only the free viewer the env file is there, but seems to be ignored, and enved is not available.

Creating a system environment variable viewer_useoglgraphics (s on the end) did work.
