Problem moving symbol - get "Symbol has no pin 1" error

Hi

I am trying to move a pcb footprint symbol for a diode. The symbol has pin labels "C" and "A", instead of "1" and "2", but I wouldn't think that would be a problem. After importing my netlist, I can place the part ok, but I can't move it - it's frozen. When I do try to move it, the log window shows the message: "Symbol "xxx" has no pin 1."

Any ideas?

 thanks

Michael

    Hi,

I dont think pin lables creating any problem.

Check is there any "fix" property attached to the component? If any unfix it then probably you can move the component.

    Best Regards

In the OPTIONS tab you have the Point set to “Sym Pin #” and set the “Symbol pin #” to 1. This will select a symbol by its pin designation of 1. Your symbol does not have a pin 1 so you cannot select it. If this is set to A or C, or the Point is set to “Sym Origin” or “Body Center” then you will be able to select the symbol just fine.
