How to copy in PCB Editor the board outline on the bottom layer as dynamic shape.

Hi guys,

I need to get out from the Orcad Layout box,

In an PCB Editor design I have the board outline imported from a .dxf file. It shows-up as LINES.

In Orcad Layout, if I want to copy and change the type (from detail to copper pour) and the layer (from Global to Bottom) of the shape, is easy, a few strokes.

I do not succeed the same in PCB Editor.

A. Select\copy copies the shape, but does not let me to change the layer (to bottom) or the type (dynamic shape).

B. Redrawing the rectangle on the bottom layer does not end-up as the same geometry. No "snap to .." way as in ACAD.

The error is under 0.001", but, again, is not an identical geometry. I suspect a grid mismatch between what I have imported from .dxf and what I am trying to draw.

 Is it any other way to manipulate shapes?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks,

    You could try using Edit->Z-Copy
