PSPICE Model for TL494

Hi,

I am designing a circuit with TL494. When I run my model in ORCAD it gives me many of this annoying error: Less than 2 connections at node. The nodes are all connected tothis TL494.

I've been told that this model is just for schematic purposes and I cannot use it for simulation. So, does anyone have any idea what I can do?

I hope I get some answers on this question since there is not similar answered question on the web as so far I've search.

 Thanks

The part might be just for schematic purposes and there would no model associated with it and therefore it would be ignored for the purposes of simulation - as in "no pspice template ignoring"

A quick search did not show any simulation models for this device from te manufacturers. If you have a simulation model, you might find that adding some large value, like 1G, resistors to the pins to complete the circuit.

I suspect however that this issue has nothing to do with pspice and everything to do with an incomplete circuit.

When I simulated Tl494  complete circuit I got following  error.

ERROR -- Model D1 used by X_U1.xinsttl494.X_U3.D1 is undefined
ERROR -- Model D1 used by X_U1.xinsttl494.X_U3.D2 is undefined
    Pls help me to debug

The question is, where did you get this model from. It doesn't seems to me an orcad provided device and for this reason your awbtl494 model is not complete. The part describing the model of D1 is missing.

Try to search the web for a complete model.

You are running the Lite version (demo) installation of PSpice. Lite version does not support advanced PWM model like TL494. You need to this circuit in licensed version of PSpice.
