Hi,

I want to toggle between two grids like 100mil and 10mil, can I make shortcut of two grids for quick working. This is very lengthy process to go setup>grids and then type again and again.

Regards

One way is to record scripts that setup the different grids you want, then alias them in your env file.

    For example:

    alias g1 replay c:\pcbenv\scripts\grid1.scr
    alias g5 replay c:\pcbenv\scripts\grid5.scr

There is a very well done SKILL program on the Cadence server that does this.  It lists all of the scripts you have and lets you click between grids on the fly since it leaves a window up.

You need to set up the grids as a script first like Randy R says...

Actually the SKILL script can be found at SKILL_SCHOOL on yahoo.com GROUPS. You can signup and access it in the FILES section.

Hi, i found this skill very useful, but can somebody add the grids 0.3175mm,0.508mm, 0.635mm and 1.27mm because this grids are the one that we mainly use for wiring and placing of components. Thanks in advance to the person who will update the skill. i would like to do it by myself, but im having hard time in understanding the scripts (c++).

    regards,

    eric
