 Hi all,

I am facing problem in labeling, I have an excel file which have a list of signal, I have to label them on pcb. I know about “read from file” option but is there any way to copy text from excel and paste it in edit>text option.

Thanks & Regards

Tanveer

    Cool. Easy.

Output the excel file in .txt format. Modify the .txt file to only include what text you want.

In allegro: ADD TEXT - RMB (right mouse button) - 'from text file'

Pick the text file you want to import, and whalla - it's there.

Be sure you set the text size you want before you do the final import (Undo works well here)

    Good day.

    Hi,

I also have the same problem to label many signals but the way you tell

ADD TEXT - RMB (right mouse button) - 'from text file'

is not an easy way to again and again read the text because if we read a singal file, texts can't be seperated like we have to label to signals when they are far apart.

may you understand my point of view.

My question is now same, Is there any way to paste text in text editor like we can paste text in Capture CIS.

    Thanks

Don't know if this is what you mean, but you can highlight the text then right-click->copy in Excel.  Then do text->edit in Allegro, then right-click->paste in the command window.

    HI,

Yes there is a way to paste in text edit.

first you have to choose general edit by RMB Application Mode>General Edit then go to Find Menu and Choose Text.

Now press RMB on text where you want to paste text and choose "Text Edi" a popup window will appear where you can paste text copied from any where.

    Regards
