align components in both axes

Hi all,
I am using ver16.2, I want to align component in both x and y axes eg I want to align resistors which are placed in a row when I follow the procedure of aligning components it works only in one (y) axis, I want to maintain their distance in x axis too.

    Can I suggest you align all the parts in the (x) axis then group select them (Select all the components at once) and align them in one go to the (y) axis using the RMB align components command.

    Hi Steve,

    I cant figure out how to do it. kindly please tell me in detail because after aligning in one axis I want to maintain centre to centre. When I again go to align parts, nothing happening.
