It happened for all parts that had fiducials no errors in extract log, records were actually there it was the vendors problem some how the fiducial screwed up the input to the machine

    Thanks

May be the same problem I ran into ...

Allegro outputs records separated by type Package / Mechanical / etc., many 3rd party input translators don't handle this (I found this to be a problem with both Circuitcam and Fabmaster, not sure of others).

What I did to resolve was to add all required items as Package parts (driven in netlist from schematic) - this resolved my issues with the input translators I mentioned.

Don't know if this will help (or hinder), but I've never had to create a CADCAM output. I've always used this CircuitCAM routine for outputting manufacturing data to my assembly house.

Dear All I have the same requirement " to generate the ASCII files that our PCB manufacturer needs". I tried the CircuitCAM. Zip file as per the instructions given. but I was unable to use it. It shows an errror " Empty variable definition". Parse error in file C:\projects\.....................line 11. Please let me know how to execute it. Thanks in advance Rajiv Vig

    Hi

I've previously incorporated this into a skill routine. I've only tested this using the Windows version of Allegro 16.2 - the skill routine creates a file called "ccam.cad" for use in CircuitCAM.

Please feel free to change the program to suit your needs.

Place the skill file in your skill directory and load it.

To run it, type ns_aegis and it will create the file and show it.

    Best regards

    Ole
