how to do igs & step export in allegro

Hi Good Day! ,Any know how to convert 3D data (IDF export ) from allegro to .igs or .step format ,or there any direct export is possible ? Regards,Girish Kumar

    The only way I know is to import the idf file into a 3D tool (pro-e or solidworks) then generate the step or iges file from that.

    Oh its needs one more software! Could you  pls tell me which format I need to export the IDF file so thet I can gnereate other format (.EMN or .BDF becoz in IDF export menu there are 3 option PTC ,SDRC IDF)

    PTC will generate EMN and EMP, to get the BDF file you need to use the IDF type.

    Hi Steve,

          I having difficulty to find any application tools to open *.emp and *.emp file generated from PTC option. Pls advise.

    Its simple. You can open with note pad (emn & emp is a text file ) Regards,Girish Kumar
