Dynamic Shape Fill Question

I'm working on an 8 layer board (v16.2) with GND fill on every layer. On layer 3, the shape fill disappears while performing edits on other layers. The editing does not even have to affect layer 3 for the fill to end up disappearing. I could be simply editing a trace on layer 2, not moving any parts or via's, and the layer 3 plane will get blown off. This happens only on layer 3. I say disappear because the outline for the shape remains intact. The display status will then show that I have an out of date shape. If I update to smooth it *usually* comes back. Several times the shape did not come back after hitting the update button, and I had to delete the shape outline, and reinsert the shape. Wierd. This only happens on that one layer. I can't find anything wrong with the shape itself, all my checks are clean- what's up with this? I've heard there some funkyness going on with shapes in 16.2. Anyone seen this happen?

     Hello,

Have you looked on your Stack-up boundary layer for any left-over shape outlines that are hard to see?

This is sometimes a source of problems with shapes.

Tools ->Database check with DBDoctor and Check shape outlines may help.

     Good luck,

     Mike
