OrCAD on Win2000

Hi, I use Windows 2000, but the OrCAD demo version available on Cadence website (16.2) doesn't support Windows 2000 and I haven't find previous OrCAD demo versions that support Win2000. Is available an OrCAD demo version that support Windows 2000? Thanks in advance.

Your 16.2 Demo might work on Windows 2000 but it won't have been tested.

Microsoft ended public support for Windows 2000 in July 2005 so it is unlikely that any prospective users would be looking to install on a new Windows 2000 installation. Your Windows 2000 machine must be around 5 years old, or older, so a newer machine and OS would be a much better experience.

There is a consortium that advises which platforms to support for EDA tools, they removed Windows 2000 a while ago and Cadence has subsequently ended support for Windows 2000 as the product releases cycle through each year.

Thanks for reply. In near future I aren't interested to upgrade Win2000 to a newer operating system. So the best solution for me is an older version of OrCAD demo tested on Win2000 if available, else I will download 16.2 OrCAD demo not tested on Win2000 but itsn't the best solution for me.
