Transformations with Modules

Hi,

I was writing an axl function so that I can move and/or spin/rotate a module in the PCB Editor XL v 16.2. I am able to move it easily, but I am not able to spin/rotate the module. Everytime I do so, it spins the individual components on their respective origins. Does anybody have any idea on how to rotate the whole module ?

 Thanks.

When in move mode, the Rotation Point (in the Options tab) needs to be set to "User Pick" to rotate multiple elements as a group, instead of rotating in place. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do that with SKILL code. But hopefully some other smart guy on the forum does.

Also, please note there is a PCB SKILL forum. That might be a better place for this question.

Thank you Evan, your suggestion worked, but rather than using move, we have to do the same thing you mentioned in the spin command. I will probably figure out how to make an axl command out of it and will post it in the thread. Thanks again for all the help..!!

     Hi Chinmay,

You can also define a group of elements. That will move and rotate the group as whole. It may work for modules too.

     Hi Evan,

I had tried to play around with groups, but it didn't turn out good enough and thats why I actually posted this question. But thanks for pointing that out too. Somebody like me who is still learning the ropes would find it useful. Thanks again for all the help.
