OrCAD Layout - Round shaped PCB ?

Hi there, I'm in the process of designing a round shaped PCB in Layout. I've been searching google for the past days and it seems that no one ever needed to do such thing. I'm using OrCAD 16.0 suite. I've included a pdf so you guys might see what I'm talking about. The circuit must fit on the outer part. The center is actually empty, because I'm building this PCB around a shaft. files.getdropbox.com/.../shaft2.pdf Thanks Oliver

We've done two boards along that line except with more complex outer shapes.  What is the question?

Yeah, that's ... without asking a question, an answer is hard to get. So, what I'm asking is how can I draw a annulus shaped PCB in Layout. I haven't found any tutorial on this on the Internet. I have my schematic built in Capture and now, I'm ready to export it to Layout. Thanks. Oliver

When we did it, it was as simple as drawing it on the Board Geometry / Outline layer.  There was one shape for the outside edge of the PCB and another for the inside edge.  You would draw two concentric circle shapes with the proper diameter.  Aside from that, you should add Package and Route Keepouts to the center area especially if you use any Autorouting features.  That was good enough for our contract manufacturer to run with.

Are you looking for "Add->Circle"? You can add a circular outline to the Board Geometry layer.

First of all, thanks everyone. I've managed to get 2 concentric circles the way I wanted. My outer circle is my board layout and my inner circle is a Route-via keepout. Is that all needed to start placing and routing my parts ? Oliver
