How do you copy circuits on a schematic page to another page in the same design?

Using Allegro Design entry HDL vsn 15.2.

    Hi -

You can accomplish this with a couple different methods:

    Method #1
    1. In DEHDL, choose File> Import Design

    Method #2
    1. Open the exiting design.
    2. Open the new design in another tab in DEHDL.
    3. Use Group command and select as much of the circuit as desired.
    4. Use the Copy All command, and copy the group.
    5. Paste the copied objects into the new design tab.

    Regards,

Thanks for your reply, Jerry.  I am wanting to copy the circuit into the same design, but a new page.  I can get through the group command, and copy all, but how do I paste on the new page?  When I switch to the new page after doing the copy all, the group goes away, and there is no 'paste' option, that I can see.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Sorry about that.

When you want to paste in the new page, in the DEHDL console window, type
    PASTE A
(where "A" is the group letter of the objects originally copied.

    That should work.

Thanks.  We finally figured out we had to have the two pages open in the same DEHDL instance.  From there it was simple to tile the pages, select the circuit on the one page, copy it, drag it to the other page.  No 'Group' command necessary.
