Error: "...other program is busy..."

Running OrCAD 9.1. After creating a schematic and Simulation profile, when I hit the Simulate button, I get the following error window, labeled "Server Busy": "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem." It provides two buttons that can be pushed: "Switch To" and "Retry".

"Retry" simply repeats the above and gives the same result.

"Switch To" gives the windows START menu, i.e. the list of programs. I can run any other of my programs, but when I go back to OrCAD, I get the same error window. If I run Task Manager, it shows only the OrCAD Capture task running (assuming I closed the program I just ran); no other tasks are listed. If I terminate it (this seems to be the only way of stopping it), when I run it again, or even if I create a new schematic and simulate it, it gives me the same result as above.

Any idea what is going on?

    The programs are not correctly installed, actually not registered correctly in the registry. The RPC server mechanism will require 10 attempts of the "Retry" button to get the simulator to run. Equally, it is unlikely that you are running 9.1 in a supported environment so you may consider getting the latest Demo version of the software.

     Even i am facing this error.Suddenly Orcad is running slowly and throwing this error.It worked perfectly yesterday.
