WAS/IS part 2

The Orcad help is not very helpful. Does anyone have a step by step procedure for manually renumbering components in Orcad Layout and back annotating the changes to Orcad Capture? There is some mention of a .SWP file in Layout's help. But, it isn't clear how to go about it.

Thanks

    Good morning,

While in Layout rename you components as required, by selecting them or using the components spreadsheet.  You can also use the rename components to auto rename them.  Under Auto, select Back Annotate and follow the steps.  Open the schematic, click on the *.dsn to select the design.  Under Tools select Back Annotate and select the .SWP file you created in Layout.  Hit OK.  Now your reference designators in Capture should match you Layout.
