Synchronizing DE HDL and part table file

Hi all,

Is there a method to synchronize Design Entry HDL schematic and part table file other than Part Manager.

Assume that you have a stock controlled part table file and the stock information is changed according to the volumes of the component.

PART_NUMBER    IN_STOCK_QUANTITY

RES_ANY_0402     1000

If you have used this RES_ANY_0402 in schematic and then your stock program is changed the PART TABLE FILE information  from 1000 to 1500. There is a mismatch in Part manager. What I want to do is to update the schematic instances according to  part table file.

That can be done in part manager with update instances but this is time consuming and you have to enter them by one by.

I wonder if there is a script or something helpful to do this in a simple manner. I wish the PART MANAGER has a one button to update all the mismatch properties.

Thanks for your helps.

    Hi Khurana,

Wht if, if i want to change the properties of the componet for selected ones...which are evenly placed say @ different locations n different pages.

I believe Grouping option will help only if the component are placed closed to each other n tht too in a single page..

    Thnx
