Defining Copper thickness

Someone wo uld explain me please, why 1.2 mils is the default copper thickness in the xsection dialog.

1.2mils = 0.03048mm

1oz copper is 35um thick that is 0,000035mm -> 0.001378mils

1.2mils 1000 times more then this.

???

Thanks

    And after processing the final thickness for 1oz internal layers is around 1.20-1.25 mils.  External layers can be 2.0-2.2 mils after plating when using 0.5oz foil with 1oz plating.
