Hi Everybody!!!

I wonder if somebody know about how to import Mentor Graphics PADS' files to Allegro and if there is a tutorial I will be very grateful. Thanks a lot.

Best Regads,

There is not really any tutorial since the process hardly warrants one. Check out the "pads in" command documentation in the P Commands, pcoms.pdf, "doc\pcoms" directory within the installation, that tells you what you need to prepare before running the translation. After the translation, configure the design rules in PCB Editor / Constraint Manager. You may find that you have two sets of shapes, one set voided and the other un-voided, if so, delete the voided shapes, check that any remaining shapes are dynamic and let the design rules restore the shapes in PCB Editor.
