I runed "create fanout" command on a IC in allegro 16.2 and show element one via created , it like this:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

            < VIA >

  origin-xy:    (304.9000 152.9350)

  part of net name:  ZZZ_R2229P1
  Connected lines:     1 ( BOTTOM )

  Padstack name:   VIA03_06_08_045

padstack defined from TOP to BOTTOM
  rotation:  0.000  degrees
  via is not mirrored

  Symbol via: Ic2202

--------------------------------------------------------------------

It is a symbol via, and I don't want this.

How can I create fanout with nomal via ( not symbol via) ?

  Thanks.

    Hi

Create fanout has used a normal via, but in the process it will mark it as a symbol via so that it moves together with the symbol.

If you don't like this, go to the Route menu and select Convert->Unmark

    Best regards

    Ole

     Hi Ejlersen !

Thank you for your  answer about Create Fanout. Today I have a problem that I hope you can help me. In 16.2, I goto Setup/ Unused Pads Suppression and try to run it. It's OK, but It apply to whole Board , but I want to  apply for only in BGA area . How can i do it ?

    Thanks.

    Luan.

The Unused Pad Suppression feature is a global feature and cannot be applied to regions or components.

You could use two different padstacks.  One in the BGA region with "optional" pads and one outside of the BGA region that doesn't have optional pads (I forget the exact wording in padstack designer).
