Mentor DA to Cadence ConceptHDL Conversion

 Hi
Does anyone know how to import mentor Board station DA into Cadence Allegro.

How do you export a netlist from Board Station Design Architect for Allegro??? Also, is there anything that can convert Board station schematics to Concept HDL? Is EDIF relevant to this?
 Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Kesavan

    Hi

There are a couple of possibilities for translation

    One of them is www.elgris.com

With respect to netlisting from DA to Allegro, I don't know if this is possible, try looking for a telesis netlist output.

    Best regards

    Ole

Yes there are converters for both the PCB (to Allegro) and the schematic (to HDL). If you have the Allegro PCB SI product you can convert the PCB to allegro directly. For the schematic, I've looked thru my older emails, and on my server, but I haven't found that yet. But, there is a way. I've had both databases converted in the past (both done by Cadence, for me)

I'll post again when I find the schematic information.

    Good day. Mitch

You need to use EDIF200 schematic from DA. OrCAD has an EDIF200 schematic Importer.

Check the edi2cap.cfg file and ment2cap.cfg configuration files.

If you still have problems and have a SourceLink account, then submit your EDIF schematic file to Cadence.

If you need any special handling of EDIF200 schematic exported from Mentor's DA, then contact Elgris ( www.elgris.com)
