 Hi,

Is there any userguide or help which will give the detail of the models of spice library of OrCAD-16.2...i am searching for a guide which gives me the specificatinons of each model not the lib_list kind of guide.

Thnx

     Hi MAAC,

You can use the Model Editor (Start menu > Cadence > Release 16.3 > AMS Simulator > Simulation Accessories > Model Editor) to open the device models for any part. In Model Editor, browse to the LIB files at $CDSROOT\tools\pspice\library. For primitive models it's fairly straightforward, but you'll probably need to consult the PSpice documentation for subcircuits if you're not familiar with SPICE syntax. Check out the documentation for a variety of ways to view the models besides just the SPICE model code. Be warned that most of the devices will simulate (some very well), but they may not represent the real device perfectly.

If you want a synopsis of all the devices included with 16.2 so you can compare one transistor with another one without running multiple simulations and doing a side-by-side comparison in PSpice, I don't know but I'd love to find out. You best bet might be measuring the actual devices and/or checking the device datasheet(s).

Is that what you're looking for?

     Hi,

There is also a "PSpice A/D Reference Guide"  ...\doc\pspcref\pspcref.pdf

where the models and parameters are specified.
