Creating parts and connectors in 16.2

I've used orcad for years but we've upgraded to 16.2 a year ago  from 10.5.  This is the first chance I'vehad to use the new tool and I'm lost.

I want to create a footprint in PCB Designer for a USB Mini B connector but can't find any tutorials on part creation or anything.  Are there some resouces someone can point me too?

Thanks in advance

Try the "algrolibdev.pdf" in the doc\algrolibdev directory within the installation, this discusses library development. Basically you need to use the Pad Designer to create some padstacks, then use PCB Editor, File>New>Package Symbol, or Package Symbol (Wizard), to use the padstacks in the new symbol. Since your component has a small number of pins, you may not want to use the wizard and just place the pins and details manually.

When I try to add a pin, I get a no padstack specified error.  How do I define the padstack for the symbol?

    Use the Options Tab.

It is wise to set the padpath variable to the folder where the padstack is located.
