Mounting Holes/Component Holes not going thru board

Dennis H

 Hello,

My Mounting/Component Holes are not going thru the board when I make a IDF, They just stay on the top layer. Is there a setting I don't have set?

Also, How do I make the height of each symbol I create? When I make a IDF my component are all the same size, Is there a setting to change that too?

Thanks, Dennis

One possiblity for the hole not going through is that you don't have a circle on Board Geometry/Outline in the symbol.

As for symbol height; it varies depending on your version of Allegro.  Recommend you search for "Intermediate Data Format" or "IDF Library File" or "IDF Height" in Help.  Basically, depending on a variety of factors, the height might come from the "HEIGHT" propery on the component, the PACKAGE_HEIGHT_MIN/MAX properties on the place bounds in the symbol, or the "Default Package Height" field on the IDF Out window.

    Hope this helps.
