Component disappears when I select it.

Hi All,

The tool I'm using is Orcad PCB editor 16.2.

I'm working on a PCB in which I need to place components on the both side. Top side component placement is over. So I mirrored remaining components to Bottom side. Then I turned off the Top layer etch to get better view on bottom layer. Then I started picking up the components on bottom layer. When I select the mirrored components it diappears. I can see the rat nets connected to it, but not the components pad. I made some experiment. When I turned on top etch then I picked up a mirrored component, this time pads didn't disappear. I could see the bottom side pad while moving with top etch enable. But why not without top etch? same case with silkscreen.

Please let me know some tips. I dont want to enable top etch while placing bottom side components. That's going to irritate me..

please give me some idea...

Thanks,

Prasanna

There is no "Option" tab in this version and I didn't find any "strech etch " option. If anyone know about 16.2 version please let me know.

     Thanks,

I got the strech etch option. Actually if we take "move" command for placing the components then it will not disappear. But I'm using "place manual-H" command, which picks the origin of the component. Move command is working fine. I'm looking for place manual-H command. Sorry for not mentioning this point in the first post.
