The Header and string info is only stored in the capture.ini file (located in <your_install_dir\tools\capture dir) when you are running a capture CIS License and a cis bom. If you are running only Capture then you would need to set it up on a project by project basis.

     Steve,

I think license should not matter in this case. Wht i need is the moment i choose BOM the values in the header n string should also consist of wht i added in .ini file...i believe there is some where a file where in i can add Property 5=...... (This i got from Support.Cadence)...But i`m unable to find tht .ini file

Like I said earlier the only capture.ini is stored under <your_install_dir>\tools\capture\ dir. This function has never beem avaliable and I'm pretty sure that 16.3 didn't give you this ability. You have always had to do this manually on a project by project basis. Are you sure the info from support.cadence was for Capture and not Capture CIS ?
